Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Rincon Recreation Department to facilitate quality recreation programs and services that provide opportunities to improve the quality of life for all Tribal Members through culturally diverse events, sports programs and activities.
Department Overviews
The Rincon Recreation Department provides numerous and varied events, programs and activities for the Rincon Tribal community. The Recreation Department facilitates usage for all Sports Complex and Fiesta Park organized facilities. The department works closely with other Tribal Government Departments for the safe maintenance and operations of Tribal sports facilities, buildings and grounds for the benefit of the Tribal Membership. The department has developed and implemented numerous policies and procedures to assist Tribal Members in understanding the operations and requirements of the Recreation Department.
The Rincon Recreation Department is charged with providing quality customer service and well-organized events and activities that emphasize culture, develop confidence and a sense of self-worth, and as well as enrich each Tribal Member’s quality of life. Programs and services provided by the department include, but are not limited to, Inter Tribal Sports team and individual and coaches registration and participation coordination; Adult team and youth team and individual sponsorship programs; Rental and Use guidelines for Tribal facilities; Ball field and batting cage reservation and access; development of community-wide special events; operation of adult softball tournaments and leagues; Development of summer programs and field trip schedules; Teen summer intern program (YEP) as well as Capital Project Management and Tribal Staff Development.
The Rincon Recreation Department is dedicated to prompt, courteous and professional customer service in fulfilling all aspects of its responsibilities and obligations to the Rincon Tribal Community.
