Welcome to the Rincon Activity Corner! Recreation, Education and Culture have come together to reach out to Rincon Youth and provide them with fun activities and resources. We would like provide you with fun, crafty and interesting activities, videos and links to keep you occupied while at home. We will be updating the site regularly.
EXPLORE YOUR ARTISTIC SIDE
Indigenous Artists have found ways to represent their heritage in new and interesting ways. Sometime using traditional symbols and stories, they reinvent and continue traditional storytelling through different mediums.
In 2014 Albuquerque’s Nativo Lodge began showcasing contemporary Native American artists. And the hotel did it in a unique way, by offering those artists a guest room to design on their own. There are now dozens of rooms that are actual works of art, each painted by a different artist in
DO YOU FEEL INSPIRED? WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE STYLE?
Create your own stories. Use a zine, a 8 page booklet where you can create your own stories, retell old stories or create a new story. Draw pictures to create the environment that you want your stories to take place. This is your time to be creative! You can use word and pictures or just pictures to tell your stories. It is completely up to you and you can create as many as you want!
