Namokkiyan! Native American Heritage Month is a time to learn and celebrate the diverse traditions, histories, and cultures of Native Americans.
Native American Heritage Month has been observed in the month of November since November 1990, when President George W. Bush approved a resolution and signed a proclamation designating November, as Native American Heritage Month. This year, Rincon is presenting videos online to share with the community. Videos from the Forest Service and the University of California, will share steps taken to manage, protect, and restore our oak woodlands. In addition, our tribal members will share about different aspects of our culture and traditions. Join us as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month.
